Maybe but then the same can be said about Wilder, the faded Fury means absolutely nothing.

I agree 100%. Joshua seems to be the one ducking Wilder. From what i seen today Wilder will KO Joshua with ease.

Joshua and Hearn are scared, they are waiting for Wilder to get old. End of the day Joshua has three belts and is the cash cow, not Hearn. If he really wanted this fight instead of waiting on Wilder's speed and athleticism to decline, he would have the fight. He's clearly the one ducking, and I dont blame him because he would for the first time be facing a fighter where he is shorter, not as long as, and significantly slower and less explosive. Without the decks significantly stacked in his favor he is shook.

No, it isn't. Joshua-Wilder/Fury winner is going to be a massive fight.

Wilder would be lineal & WBC champ. I don't rate Wilder but I wouldn't say it means nothing.

OP is wrong though, Joshua is building a strong resume irrespective of Wilder.

So a two year absence, failed drug tests and Fury is still lineal champion?

I think that's very debatable, also throw in the fact that Furys last two performances make it hard to see him any other than a shadow of his former self and not a very good win.

Yeah I agree, it's not the greatest resume of all time but it's a solid one for a man with 22 professional fights.

Well he's still technically the man who beat the man. How much credit Wilder is afforded for a win will probably come down to how Fury performs but I don't think you could say it is meaningless, even if diminished.

Yeah fair comment, I just think you can't vanish for two years, fail drug tests and still have any claim on being lineal champion.

Also looking at Fury now it's clear to see a big decline and a huge difference from WK.

It made me laugh tonight, Fury putting out a little video whining that nobody mentioned his name post AJ fight as a potential opponent.. the fact nobody did mention him spoke volumes about how much anybody takes himself seriously right now.

Maybe somebody can tell him the reason he wasn't and isn't mentioned as a future AJ opponent is because nobody really gives him much of a chance against Wilder, I believe the vast majority of boxing fans think Wilder is going to knock him spark out.

fury is a joke and always has been. Wlads only loss he should feel shame about. getting caught by guys with big power or running out of gas is one thing. losing to a cherry picking bum through lack of effort is another.
