We all know Freddie Roach is pretty successful and has won Trainer of the year over and over, but apart from the Master himself, wish other trainer out there do you really like and think they deserve a lot of respect for their work ?

Me, I've always tought Nazim Richardson was a great trainer and one that I would recommend to a lot of fighters. After his great strategies with BHop against Pavlik and Mosley's against Margaritto, my respect for him has grown even more.

if Floyd beats Pac that would be two fighters under Freddie which Floyd has won.....would that make Roger the MASTER?

Nacho Beristain does a lot for his fighters although sometimes I wonder if he only has one mold for a fighter. Likewise on Manny Steward.

if we are just talking about feats of training that deserve a tip of the cap and not trainers who will be in the pantheon of atgs...then i think that what ozell nelson did w/ jermain taylor after the first pav fight deserves a nod...

when manny left (asked to leave whatever) and it was ozell in charge...he put a totally different fighter in the ring the next time out. jermain looked so much improved from the first pav fight to the second. on top of that, ozell put him seconds away from beating froch in another fight where he looked good up until the last couple rounds when he gassed.

ozell has said a few things to jermain in the corner i don't agree with but his prep w/ him after the first pav fight was clearly evident. he had three very strong showings in a row despite only winning one. jermain's stamina aside, ozell did a good job w/ him as far as tactics and helping cure some of those bad habits hes had

Any respect I had for Roach has quickly diminished with his attitude towards other people, boxers, and other trainers. Then you have all the talks about steroids with Pacquiao. Lets not forget Toney was from his camp.

And quite frankly, Pacquiao is what made him, not the other way around.

And to answer your question, Nacho Beristain and Rudy Perez deserve a mention.

Hell no. Even if you want to believe this, you know deep down Freddy made Pac.

I agree...Nazim Richardson is a hell of a trainer....great boxing mind and strategist. I think his stable of elite fighters will grow...Manny Steward used to be the man but I think age has caught up to him.
