Callan, watched your 4 round light heavy bout with AAron Russell on Fox last night from the Mansfield Tavern.

Thought Aaron won the first but you outboxed and outpunched him in the next three.
It's usually hard to lose when you win 3 out of 4 rounds.

IMO judges Cyril Cairns, Wally Lewis and Adam Height all owe you an apology for a blatant home town decision. You'd have noticed that Adam Height didn't even give you a round. :patsch

The two of you put on an entertaining fight.
Good luck in the future. :good

I didn't score the fight but thought it quite close....could have been a draw or gone either way

I wonder what Adam Height (poster Adam H) will have to say for himself about this ?

Maybe Adam should be hung drawn and quatered. Or burnt at the stake.:roll:

He made judgement in a very tough fight, Its one thing to watch a fight at home whilst drinking beer and listening to a commentator telling you HIS opinion on the fight. Its another thing to actually sit there and judge it.

Nothing could be truer (not the hung drawn and quartered/burnt at the stake bit), I have not seen the fight yet, Adam is a good poster here and on BoxRec, and what I've said is tongue in cheek, this was clearly a very close fight and it is one thing to enjoy a fight after enjoying a few without knowing what judging involves and actually judging a fight. I always refer to what all three judges score, if they're all within a round of each other (or so if the fight's of longer distance) then they've been proven to me to be on the money.

    Ben,

Adam got it wrong. Defending him won't change that.

How would you have judged it?

I think it came down to whether punches landed or not.

Aaron had a pretty tight defence but was taking a few shots after he engaged but I didnt see a one sided fight to either guy - draw would have been good.

If the home town decisions were so rampant in QLD then OMAR Shaick would have been handed a comfortable win against Ben McCulloch rather than a split points loss?

Its a 4 rounder people - they are hard to call in such tight fights.

I havn't seen the fight yet but I have no doubt Adam probably recieved a kickback because he is a devious person at heart and he probably smells. Also he didn't bow down when he met me so that tells you all you need to know about his character.

I was at the Tavern 10-6-10 for the Shaick V McCulloch fight and thought the right man got the decision that night.

    Interesting to note the scores.

    Phil Austin-----57-56 McCulloch
    Allan Burford---57-56 McCulloch
    Adam Height---58-55 Shaick

Apart from all that thought it was a really entertaining night of boxing last Friday. Made the Boxa promo look second rate.

I thought it a real shame Shaik was stopped. I was surprised at some of his footwork and alot of the shots he landed. Was well impressed til he was stopped

How the **** anyone could score the last 2rds against Callan is beyond belief,i had Callan winning by 1rd but wouldn't of had to much problems with a draw but the score card of Adam 36-40 to the home town boy is just wrong:oops::nono
