    This is one of those fight highlights I can watch twice a day and never get bored of

    Steele boxing beautifully and landing precise punches while Apostoli just continually bores forward and grinds away, taking everything from one of the hardest middleweight punchers without even blinking

    Great fight, wish we had it in full

    imagine breaking steeles brest bone..and steele fighting on.
    they declared it at the time as the greatest fight ever seen at madison square garden..and if i'm right..no title on the line (this is the rematch)..some papers saying it was a greater battle than greb v walker.

    its kind of funny this one as both were middleweight champion of the world at the time depending what your viewpoint was...apostoli was new york athletic commesion champ and was seen in europe as that when he beat marcal thil...steele was nba champ.....yet no title on the line.
