Pity he couldn't do it to his jaw. He does have excellent punching technique and power though. Pity he has a glass mind.

Damn, didn't know that. "Can you imagine if he hit me flush on the face??" - Rubio.

Nice. Hopefully he doses his efforts more wisely in the future. :D

Not surprising considering how heavy handed he is.

that's impressive, but just as impressive is that Rubio could win in spite of that

Lemieux is an excellent prospect. It's not uncommon that a fighter like him can lose to a fighter like Rubio. A good comparison would be between that fight and Haye/Thompson. Haye was a hard hitting prospect and punched himself out against a tough, experience veteran. There's no shame in that.

Lemieux just needs to learn from his mistakes and this loss will be a good thing for him.

Holy crap, I guess that takes away the ammo from the critics who said he power was overrated

Lemieux' power is not overrated. He hits very hard. He's very young though and made some mistakes. He'll bounce back. To the top? I don't know, maybe, maybe not. He is still a prospect, after all. He will KO Alcine ina couple of rounds, it won't even be funny. Alcine doesn't have the best jaw, he got KO badly twice already, he won't survive to Lemieux' bombs.

Rubio is a tough guy, you get the impression that if Lemieux did break his forearm, he'd have no qualms about battering Dave in the face with it.

He deserves his shot at Chavez.

He doesn't have a glass mind, he's young. Give him a break, nobody's perfect.

I'm a big supporter of David, but his mind is kinda weak. Rus Anber left him for a reason

He does. He doesn't have the mentality of a champion. I like him, but Russ Amber left him because he wasn't training hard enough and taking short cuts. He has a low level of professionalism and his loss should have been the kick up the arse he needed. That's the sign of a glass mind.
