exactly...it is a lack of character....i've even heard reports that jmm understood this soon after the contract but those aren't credible sites...and there is no way golden boy would leak that with mayweather now doing business with them

I don't know why anyone would think he was at 160 on fight night vs Marquez. I mean, what fight indicates that Floyd balloons up in weight for fight night? Please point out at least one fight in Floyd's career where he rehydrated to 10 pounds+. that is ridiculous. 152 is way more believable.

The guy was fighting at 135 pounds on fight night in SuperFeatherweight(130) while his opponents were fighting at 147+ and at 147 Floyd was fighting at just above the limit at 148. Marquez came in at 145 in his fight with Diaz at LW if i'm not mistaken, he was damn near at the WW limit. Floyd was coming in as barely a JWW when he was at LW.

Yeah, Floyd came in 2 lbs overweight on purpose so that he could hand JMM more than 100 grand lol... Makes sense... Floyd wanted to pick on a little guy, and gain more advantages than the ones he had going in lol... You Pac fans are the worst lol...

true. pbf was a ***** but there is a first time for everything.

cotto does look massive. he weighed in at 146 vs clottey. i think he came in around 158-160 against clottey.

against pac, he weighed in at 145 but i am pretty sure he came in at 155-157 range. he did not look as big as he was during the clottey fight.

Funny thing is that the two pounds didn't mean anything when Pac ASKED Cotto to defend his title at 145 instead of 147, yet after they agreed to weigh in t 145, PAc and his fans said, "PAc would've beat Cotto regardless of the two pounds" lol... Hypocrites...

yeah but keep in mind against pac he had a much more rigorous training camp that was started right after the clottey fight...he had phil landman with him the whole time and there were no distractions with his uncle evangalista..

against clottey he was coming off the jennings win...and he didn't start training again right away like he did for the pacquiao fight...he had a shorter camp as well...

funny thing is that clottey actually gains equal to if not more weight than cotto...they looked equal in size during that fight...

    :good:good:good. fair post.

i knew from the moment the fight was announced it will be a massacre.

i mean JMM is pretty good for a 36 year old lightweight.

but all odds where in pbf favor. I can probably concede that pbf was 155 on the fight night considering jmm came in at 148 or 149 if I remember it right.

and still jmm looked so damn small against pbf that night. me thinks thats a 3 lbs difference is simply too small during fight night.

jmm claimed that pbf had a 20 lbs advantage over him. of course we know this is hyperbole. but to claim only a 3 lbs advantage is practically the same.

this is the reason i got banned from the other site..pac fans were saying that these 2 pounds were a huge difference in the marquez-floyd fight but when i said how can u say that when u say cotto was in his best shape at 145...that is hypocritical

i actually thought that clottey looked a little bigger because of the shoulders but the difference was negligible since this was fight between 2 real welters.

i gave that fight actually to clottey despite the KD.

i really don't think he came in that high dude...he even said he barely was able to make the 150 pound limit comfortably when he fought de la hoya...

jmm lost because his warrior mentality...if he would have beaten pacquiao in their second fight he would have never considered this fight...he simply just wanted to fight the best opponent other than pac...

fact is tho Floyd had more speed and was bigger than jmm...which usually isn't the case because the smaller man usually has an advantage in speed..but in this fight that was not the case.

i had cotto winning by a point because of the KD...very close but clottey should have done more in the championship rounds.

not at his best probably because it was to ensure a more even fight with the smaller fighter.

of course we know the result. but the point being, it was actually a very good fight and the complexion of the fight changed because of the KD.

the 1 lbs loss might have affected cotto but how much it affected him.

perhaps, he lost what, 2-3% of his power. i really do not know. but cotto hmself said he was comfortable with 145. he came in at 146 versus clottey just months before so to claim that cotto came in dead during the fight is simply peprosterous also.

yup. and the scoreline says it all. 120-107.

age, height. size. reach. speed advantage all in favor of pbf.

you see how easy cotto was to negotiate with..he said **** it lets do it...i do think that the 2 pounds affected him but he chose to fight and manny fought very well....
