That's great, but you still said he regularly sells out the place which is false. Not only that, but the arena holds less than 6,000 people. Selling it out does not make you a box office draw. It's a sad state in American boxing when getting 5,100 people to come to your fight makes you a big draw. Lopez has potential though. Eventually he may become a big draw. He's not there yet though.

Two of them are American.Pacq is the only one not American.Miguel Cotto is from Peurto Rico which is a U.S. territory and ALL Peurto Ricans are U.S. citizens who don't need ANY passports at all to travel anywhere in the U.S.,not even Arizona!Furthermore there are more Peurto Ricans in New York alone than there are in Peurto Rico! And here in Philly Peurto Ricans are everywhere. My next door neighbor is Peurto Rican and the loud @ss bar on the corner is too and so was my girlfriend for 5 years who I broke up with 2 years ago.Everybody cut the crap about Cotto not being American because he definately is and so are ALL Peurto Ricans!!

One more we all forgot is Tomasz Adamek, who sells 10,000 seats to fight nobodies at the Prudential Center.

But if the seats were cheaper, they'd sell more tickets for all these guys. You can get good seats for a baseball game for $15, or for $30 for a basketball game. Tickets for most of these big fights start at $75. So of course less people are going to go.

Boxing has always relied on it's biggest stars. There seems to be lack of them right now though. Pac and Mayweather's careers are probably nearing the end. I don't see anyone out there to immediately take their place at the moment.

It's known UFC numbers are not official numbers, Dana isa smart guy marketing but a very good liar. His best numbers is his only guy Lesnar who attracts and brought fans from WWE. Dana's sport is heading south, he has a rotation that is growing old quickly. But once again his numbers are not official.

Tell him to get arrested and to tell the cops he's American, or better yet when they ask him for his race to tell him he's American not from Hispanci origin. Mayweather and Cotto are two different people of different races simple as that.

His fight against Estrada is the only one in the U.S I believe that cracked the 10k announced attendance mark. However, we all know announced attendance and paid attendance are vastly different. With that said, Main Events is doing a great job with Adamek. He's not on the level of the big 3, but he should crack 10K in announced attendance on a regular basis from here on out.

I wholeheartedly reject this theory for a number of reasons. First off, the ticket prices at most of these fights do not start at $75. I'm not sure why you decided to add in "big fights" here. That just seems to muddle your argument. Second, baseball teams have 81 home games a year. Basketball teams have 41 home games a year. So while prices are lower, the number of opportunites fans have to watch live are much higher. Many fans plunking down hundreds, and sometimes thousands of dollars for various season ticket packages. Boxing fans have much fewer opportunities to see their favorite fighters, and aren't incurring the same yearly charges that baseball and basketball fans are incurring. Many of these boxing events are masively undersold. The promoters would have to cut prices so much to fill up the venue, that they probably wouldn't even break even.

Yeah I doubt a lot of the numbers are legit but they still draw. They have branded UFC successfully while boxing as a brand has fallen. They do have a rotation getting older but are in a better position. They have people willing to put money towards the growth of the sport, not guys like Arum who want to take as much as possible.

That's crazy. Bradley fights regularly, his fights are exciting and generally against good opposition. He shouldn't draw any less than 5k or even 8k today.. :-(
