I live in St. Louis. Outside of hardcore boxing fans, no one knows who he is. It wont sell out. No one knows who his opponent is either.

Why hasn't Dana release any numbers since Lesnar injury? Remember UFC is run by one man and many of his good fighters don't even like the company itself. Boxing has events about every weekend all across the world not just the U.S. Major events are held against each other many times, HBO and Showtime do this all the time. UFC is held about once a month and its FREE at times. When you have several fights occuring on the same night or have fights to choose from, of course the numbers would seem less. But combine all those numbers and then ask yourself is boxing really dead...

It was a sarcastic answer to someone who said Cotto is American just because he comes from the island of Puerto Rico.

American isn't a race it's a nationality and Puerto Ricans are American Nationals.Hillary Clinton tried to win the state in the '08 primaries against Obama by telling them that she would grant them statehood! They are American nationals!! and don't get me started on race because they are not a race they are a crazy mix of races which isn't the same from person to person. They are white, black and indian in different percentages and some are nearly unmixed particularly the most white ones and most black ones in places like Carolina,Peurto Rico, which is why blacks and Peurto Ricans live with eachother and around eachother here in the U.S.,Ricans are allowed to say ni**a this and ni**a that while mexicans and blacks don't have that relationship at all because there are far less blacks in Mexico because they have been mostly absorbed except for the groups in a few enclaves.Carribean latinoes get mad love from blacks and Trinidad is a black country and Felix "Trinidad" was black but latino and so was Roberto Clemente who hung out with blacks here in America because he was way blacker than Bob Marley or Malcolm X,racially!!Well this has nothing to do with boxing anymore does it.The point is,that of the three boxers who are a draw in America, two of them(Cotto and Floyd) are American, not one like you claimed.Comprende?

What does everyone expect? Promoters ruined this sport by putting tomato cans in the ring. Don king started the downfall by putting nobodies in with Tyson. Bob Arum continues the legacy with a stable of cheaters. The fighter of the decade can't even man up to take drug tests without BS excuses. Mayweather, the supposed biggest draw think he's the second coming of christ. The ABC organizations are worthless. Even the Ring rankings are suspect. Color me cynical.

Here's another guy that's been packing houses in the last couple years...

Peter Manfredo, lol.... Funny but true... He's become big business in the New England area..

They don't know Devon Alexander... I gotta question for you Jason... If they advertised it differently, do you think it would sell better~??

Cory Spinks' lil homie vs. Kotelnik for the World title...

Maybe. Cory Spinks had a pretty decent turn out when he fought Zab. They did a decent amount of promoting, news stories etc about his brother getting shot and his dad being Leon Spinks. St. Louis just isnt a huge boxing city. When it comes to hockey, the blues, or baseball...even the God awful Rams, its a different story.

Don King needs to do a better job promoting.

You really think the casual fans know any of the names on the undercard or ever did?

im puertorrican first and the only reason i use a US passport when i travel is because i have no other option my nationality is puertorrican.. besides america is a continent.. so you're telling me people from south america are not american.. why USA claimed the term american i dont know but there're a lot of americans not from the USA.. the rest of your post is pretty on point.. just know that not all puertorrican want statehood and not all care about that US passport

Yeah, I gathered that much. The problem is that Reg was saying that while Cotto is technically a American citizen due to the fact that he is Puerto Rican, he doesn't consider him to be an American fighter. Given the context of his post, your response didn't make any sense.
