Showtime aired the first Wilder-Stiverne fight but was not interested in putting on the rematch of such a one-sided fight for which there is no public demand. However, given the circumstances, Showtime announced Thursday that it will televise the bout as part of a tripleheader beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

    Lol...

They should advertise it as a one of the crappiest fights ever televised.

Can you provide the source which states that Showtime doesn't want to air this fight? I believe you (who would want to broadcast this 5h!t) but I want to read it for myself.

I could see Stiverne going in and making a good fight of it. The first fight between the two was a good one.

They should advertise it: as the fight nobody wanted: the fight they pretended you wouldn't get: but deep down you knew that you would!!! Wilder vs Stiverne 2 this time, nobody's watching.

No, it isn’t. The $4M offer came with the British promoter getting options on future Wilder fights.

He was willing to overpay for a Whyte fight so that if Whyte won, he’d own both halves of a unification rematch with AJ; and if Wilder won, he’s got options on Wilder to make the unification with a lowball offer and not having to deal with Haymon.

Plus, we’d be in the same boat. No way Whyte passes strict VADA testing when he’s already sat out a 2 year suspension for PEDs. He’d get caught again and people would blame Wilder again.
