I didn't mean it. It was just a joke albeit unintentionally one in poor taste on my part. It was a continuation of a running joke I have about disliking those guys. But I don't wish them any harm at all. Apologies to anyone who thought I was being serious or took offence
Well that's good to hear. I don't like DiBella and co either but with the state of the world as it is and things like this actually happening it seems a bit much to joke about.
Yeah I didn't have my thinking cap on. I'm operating on very little sleep at the moment. I have a dark sense of humour but I never mean the things I say in jest or wish harm on others. But that can be difficult to pick up on via the medium of the written word. I deleted the post.
Well it's certainly good of you to acknowledge that. We've all said things we regret online so I've taken the quote out of my response. Good luck with getting some sleep, lack of it can frazzle the best of us!
Thanks. I suffer from pretty bad insomnia and I'm often frazzled when I'm on here, especially on weekends when I've been up till sunrise or later watching fights.
Yeah it's no joke. I actually had the opposite for a bit in which I would go to sleep and wake up like 18 hours later which while not as debilitating as lack of sleep is pretty disconcerting in addition to making working as a freelancer pretty difficult. No reason ever presented itself for my sleep pattern resolving itself - an ex gf attributed it to 'mindfulness' which may be worth you exploring if you haven't already - but it did of its own accord. Hopefully something similar happens to you.
I had a mate who that happens to. He could sleep for 15-16 hours straight. I can't remember the last time I even got 8 hours. It's been years since I last did. I usually get about six on a good night but I often go through phases that last for months where I only get 4 or a little less. Been going though one of those phases for the last couple of weeks. Three hours Friday night, and I was up from 1:00pm Saturday until 10am Sunday morning, and then I got about 3 and a half last night. No I haven't heard of ''mindfulness''. Thanks I'll look into it. Sounds interesting.
It's like a science based meditation for people who aren't interested in pseudo -spirituality. There's a free app called headspace which might be worth a try if you're interested.
So no boxing for two months, but it is likely that he will recover. Probably a good thing that he wasn't a hard puncher to begin with. His mother thought his brother was blinded, but the bullet only grazed him and sealed his eye shut. I think it is likely that he will recover as well.
