Great news if Hearn isn't BS'ing here.

The only clause AJ should be worried about, is Santa. Ask old St. Nick for a chin and some boxing skills.

AJ is to old to worry about a tomato can rebuild, just get back in there with someone legit.

Dubois would more than likely take the rematch while waiting for the Fury v Usyk winner to be ready.

Yeah, but do you think the outcome in the rematch will be any diffrent? Getting slept twice by the same dude is a terrible look. He already got comprehensively beaten twice by Usyk.

I think they match him light, wait and see the outcome of the Fury/Usyk fight and hope Fury wins so they can throw AJ in there for a mega fight.

    Hearn is such a politician

He can’t bring himself to just say “no, there isn’t a rematch clause”

Hearn has been talking about Joshua "invoking the rematch clause" but Warren has said: "No. I don’t think there is one. But they can have the fight if they want, I’ve not got a problem with that."

This will be the first rematch aj doesn't pursue. It was that one-sided

If we are to believe some of what we are reading, the rematch clause may have been one-sided. That is, it was there for the champion Dubois if he lost but not for Joshua the challenger if he lost. I guess the b.s. regarding that will clear sooner or later?

Perhaps Turki had Joshua already signed and committed to his next fight?

If Dubois fights Bakole or Zhang next that'll be the end of him lol. He would be smart to pursue the rematch and guaranteed big money because his recent run is on borrowed time. Everyone will be talking about him being a bum hypejob 12 months from now.

Bakole is even more of a hypejob tbh. Dubios would smoke him.

Zhang is a hard match up for most inside the first 6 rounds though, much closer fight.

Update from Hearn : "I spoke to Anthony Joshua about ten minutes ago and it’s all very fresh at the moment. Plenty of options and plenty of things to consider as well.”

So absolutely no guarantee we will get Dubois-Joshua 2 next.

What a contrast to straight after the fight when Hearn was absolutely full of bravado about 'invoking the rematch' and left everyone in no doubt the rematch would be next.

Now it could be that he has one but what Turki says goes.

According to Ngannou (in an interview he gave with Joe Rogan a month or so back) he did indeed have a rematch clause with Fury based on getting through the full 10 rounds. However it was implied that the Saudis didn't want to see it again and so the Joshua fight was made instead. Ngannou still seems to think he has a contracted rematch down the line.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's as simple as what Turki, wants Turki gets

You're wrong and will see when/if the fight happens.
