He died like 4 months after that fight. Fury - Ustinov was a terrible duck, Ustinov would have smoked him.

he was taken seriously ill I think a day or two before the fight and was given the last rights, it was a very sudden illness because he went in for a routine operation and something went terribly wrong

the facts are all there, their a very close family and if something like that happened to any boxer I wouldn't call them a duck for not fighting

Hughie is not a top 15 WBC rated heavyweight. Wilder gets stripped if he fights him. This is all smoke

Wilder, tried to carry molina which is why the fight was more competitive than it had to be. Wilder, kos this fury guy if they fight in the first round to make a statement. If it occurs.

He knows that, and it would be totally understandable having that happened to one of the boxers whose ****s he sucks. But he hates Fury because he gives him nightmares and inferiority complexes, so he downplays the death of a familiar.

Fighting Takam is the best way to prepare for Povetkin. And Hughie is too featherfisted and too inexperienced to have a chance against Wilder. This'd be a cherrypick.

According to the scene, Peter Fury us saying that if the fight is really on September the 26th(which it is), the Wilder has a fight!

Wilder is pulling a Mayweather. He's been training for probably the past several weeks and then wants to give his inexperienced opponent a very short camp.

That's almost disingenuous to be honest, and that's coming from a fan of both Wilder, and personally a huge fan of Mayweather's skill level.

A fully trained Hughie would pose a huge problem for Wilder given his boxing skills, although I wouldn't put him in against Wilder yet. I would wait if I were Hughie's trainer. Wilder has far more experience than Fury.

I do like though that Wilder is seeking a boxer, as opposed to brawler, to fight against. That shows that he's trying to improve that aspect of his game.

    Short camp?

Its 8 weeks to the fight and Hughie fought last week, so he's already in shape.

Make the argument that he's green, but don't pretend the timing if the camp has anything to do with it

Being in shape is only a portion of camp, and to the old school of boxing, barely anything to do with it. The training for the particular match is the bulk of the training.

The match would be 7 weeks, with one week promotional, and that's only when it gets worked out, which would probably be a week or two, so more like 5-6 weeks training.

That's a pretty short camp for a 20 year old without a significant fighter on his resume yet to take on Wilder. I wouldn't do it yet personally if I were his trainer.

Like I said though, it's still a risky match up for Wilder, given Fury's boxing skill and I like that he's thinking of Fury instead of some crude brawler.

Most camps are about 6 weeks

Not championship fights, or big time fights. Maybe Hughie v a cab driver or something, but not against Wilder or Klitschko, etc.

Like I said, I wouldn't do it purely because of lack of experience but I think Fury will be a very good boxer in the future regardless of this fight.

He has good skill, hits to the body regularly for such a big man, takes a shot, good movement, still very young and growing.

I'm talking about world championship level fighters. 6 weeks is about average.

Like I said, Fury us literally just out of another camp, as he had a fight last week.

The timing isn't the issue. Itx whether they want to throw someone that young in with Wilder yet

I never believe boxers or trainers when they say that they don't train for the specific fighter though. It would be foolish to do that. 6 weeks is standard for a championship fight? I'm not sure which fights that would be because about 8 weeks is standard as far as I've seen.
