I wasn't aware that Hughie was older than Tyson, but my point stays the same. If he was willing to fight for a title when he was even younger, than he should take this opportunity now. He'll get good exposure, and if he's as good as his brit fans/peter say and Wilder is a "glass jawed bum", he should take the fight and become the 2nd youngest HW champ of all time. That's still a great feat to accomplish.

LMAO at all the Brits trying to blame Wilder. Not defending Wilder for fighting bums, but its not like he called out Hughie on social media just to make fun of him for turning down a fight. You can thank dumbass uncle Peter for that.

Personally I don't see how Peter can train both Tyson, and Hughie for title fights in such a short amount of time. It's going to be way too hectic, that's the #1 reason I see for them not taking this fight, aside from Hughie being too green. He really has nothing to lose here but it might be too close to the Fury/Klitschko fight for them to adequately prepare for this... IDK.

Hughie would be an idiot not to take this fight. It is a free shot at a belt.

Do you think that solely one trainer trains a fighter? That's why there's assistants. There's more than enough time either way, boxers don't train 12 hours a day. Unless Peter doesn't have the stamina to train 2 guys, and Hughie who's apparently facing a glass jaw bum there's no excuse. Hughie will always be too green for Wilder, the excuse about Peter wanting 8 weeks when they have 7 1/2 weeks is why I'm ****ting on team fury. They could have come up with a far better excuse, this just makes their team look moronic.

As previously mentioned by someone else, Hughie wouldn't have 7 and a half weeks after everything was finalised. He can tick over, but his official camp wouldn't be until everything had been confirmed 100% with a press conference etc. A lot of things happen behind the scenes, such as booking sparring partners etc. You can't deny that if they took it now, it would all be rushed. It's no good just counting the weeks starting from today. For a fight of that magnitude he'd have to be 100% ready both mentally and physically. This has come completely out of the blue, and he's only fought twice within the last 15 months.

So I still don't get it.........Hughie is outside the top 15, so that = Wilder stripped right???
Hughie is a decent risk to Wilder also.
The offers to Hughie, and Parker must be fake.
That way when we get stuck with Fujimoto, Wilder will say "I tried to get better opponents, but they ducked".

Some report he's going to fight Arreola. Guy is getting a third chance at the WBC belt in a very short time span (Fourth counting his fight vs Vitali)

Arreola limited as he is might actually have a better chance at beating Wilder than Stiverne did though, seeing as Wilder seems uncomfortable under pressure. Might be a cherry pick gone horribly wrong :yep

No, that means some extra expense and Huggie entering next updated WBC rankings somewhere between 12 and 15.
