I dont get it, how can you be an UNDISPUTED champ... when your brother is lauded as being better, and has a belt?

You only need 3 of the 4 major belts to be undisputed.

It used to be that they accepted WBC, WBA and IBF as undisputed. Although, recently as the WBO became on par in acceptance with those titles, they've been referring to three of the four as same difference. Haye didn't have the WBC, WBA and IBF titles at Cruiserweight, for instance, but is always known as the former undisputed CW champion, as he had three of four in the way of WBC, WBA and WBO. So, that does seem to have commonplace acceptance now, agree or disagree.

really? I thought you need them all, its a matter of time though, vitali retires this year or early 2012 I think that means wlad will become undisputed then if the wbc dont make someone cham that will avoid him forever.

Wbo + ibf +wba + ring = undisputed. He really earned this back in 09 which is why he's been classed by most as the undisputed champ for 2 years now.

Sorry, semantics aside - you cant be the UNDISPUTED champion of a division if there is someone else in the division with a major title whom many regard to be the better fighter.

Unless the word undisputed means something else, like, i dunno 'got lots of alphabet titles and may or may not be actually the best in a given division'...?

I understand Haye was undisputed, well, because most people understood he could have beaten anyone else in the division and he had three trinkets...

I believe there's a rule that states if all the title holders emerge from the same vagina they are collectively referred to as the undisputed champion.

Yes you can as wlad is demonstrating. Compound his 4 belts with the fact that the other beltholder is on record saying he will never challenge his brother and there really isn't any dispute :)

Plus only a fool thinks vitali is now a better fighter than wlad.

Im assuming that if Vitali retires and Wlad wins the vacant (WBC?) belt, Klitschko fans will be calling Wlad a paper champion having not beaten the former champ for it?
