Box now your bang out of order mate you havn't a clue the imput i had on scott,willie,alex ect whilst assisting peter.i learnt bundles from peter who is a great coach the best scotland as ever had,i was trusted to train scott in london and fort william myself when peter was working, peter and i were a team to the best fighter scotland's ever had and im very proud to have been part of that.

 

Well you where his ASSISTANT TRAINER where you not?, does that not mean that Peter is the boss and you do what he says as do the fighters?, they where all Peter's fighters not yours,If they where asked whos your trainer I'm sure they would have said Peter Harrison, If you and Peter split than I would imagine all the fighters would have stayed with Peter no?, I had never even heard of you until you started training Ricky, The only fighter you have (ie not inherited) is Ricky who is yet to do anything, so imo you have yet to prove yourself as a trainer. .

 

Burns is a cracking young fighter and you can tell he has improved loads aswell since going with Billy too imo

Its a team effort not just one man does the training. The experience from working with Scott will be very beneficial but he wouldnt have been there as Peters assistant in the first place if he didnt know what he was doing.

 

yes ultimatley peter was the boss,but who was the loyal person they stayed with when they had an option to leave? I have a great stable in glasgow now by far the best in scotland imo and we will continue to strive to create champions.granted kenny anderson as left my gym along with jason hastie from edinburgh but they were quickly replaced by kris hughes who could box for british title within 12 months and santano carruana who is going to be very very special imo,ive never worked with a raw pro who picks things up so quickly and impliments it into his work

 

I never said he never knew what he was doing, I only said he trained under Peter Harrison, who was the boss who had the final say, so Billy cant take the merit for what Scott, Alex etc achieved, The old guy that does the corner with Billy does Ricky regard him as his trainer?, I doubt it. Ricky is the only fighter Billy has trained without Peters skill and knowledge and so far he has done well but he's only fought a load of journey men, 2 africans, and a very shot Gomez.

alex arthur told me peter harrison wasn't always in the gym and billy nelson was basically his full time trainer,in fact peter harrison went on holiday when alex was fighting in cardiff on one occasion according to AAA.?

 

Billy nelson is a good trainer,but can you name 1 boxer he made an amateur star,icant,he takes the end product after someone else has done all the hard work,but in the end he is still a good trainer

 

Billy, whereabouts in Glasgow is your gym? I thought I'd heard it was in Stepps.

 

box now what do you have against billy? give the guy a chance since hes went on his own hes donw wonders with burns and i also know hes highly regarded with other scottish boxers and coaches so get off his back.

Burns and Arthur both won and McCormack's other boxer, Gary McMillan, also won against a dirty, dirty light middleweight Alex Spitko.

Anyone know if Gary McMillan did break his hand or not?I spoke to him after his fight and his hand was swollen to ****!!

Also though Tobias Webb looked quite good but obviously still learning and I thought Craig Windsor's fight had some great action in it!!
