Totally agree with you Billy, fight was an absolute peach and i thought Appleby had it in the bag when he scored the knockdown, how the feck did Walsh come back from that?? Cracking fight and Appleby just couldn't keep going as he put everything into it, was actually speaking to Appleby on Saturday night and congratulated him on his performance etc, seemed a right good guy and can definitely come again, he's got a lot to bring to what ever division he fights in.

 

i thought appleby thought he had it won and couldnt believe walsh wasnt stopped.MENTALLY HE NEVER RECOVERED AGAIN .he had spent so much energy trying to get to walsh.I do agree with other posters that appleby looked very crude at times.overall it was a terrific fight and walsh just wanted it a bit more

 

For me it's as simple as Appleby was completly spent, he had nothing left to give. That's nothing to be ashamed of, and I don't think his heart should be called into question.

 

Great fight on Friday Billy. Both fighters were in wicked shape looked about 40C in the arena. Another two seconds of round seven I think Appleby would of stopped him.

right, your having a keyboard warrior argument with Billy nelson right, I understand. What I dont understand though is why you & others who argue with Nelson always bring Ricky Burns into it, saying how you want to see him badly hurt vs Kats etc.
Whats it got to do with Burns? Hes a good fighter, & a nice guy. I dont get why so many people want to see the guy fail abysmally:think
