    He had nothing left there at the end and no-one wants to see a Moore Macklin style ending when a fighter is that knackered.

    No excuses Billy. That is nice. It was a sensational fight. FOTY and I can't see it being beaten. Those 2 were non stop.

    Cant believe some of the ****ish comments slating Appleby on this forum over the last few days. I gave him no chance in this fight but he showed he still has alot to offer on the domestic scene. Congratulations to both men for giving us a small hall classic.

    he as alot to offer when on top .but the moment its get tough in their he only knows one thing and that's to quit mentally that boys finished any time in the future hes in a grueling fight hes gonna look for a exit out just the way it is we all cant be warriors.

    It doesn't. Both men did themselves proud whatever the outcome.

    For what it's worth, I don't think Appleby made the call anyway. After Billy Nelson waves the fight off to the referee, you can see Appleby in the corner still shaking his head to himself. Makes me think he wanted to go on. I reckon he'd just given so much that he was too knackered to protest more animatedly!

    Good decision though.
