I liked what I saw from Frank. I’ve never seen him box before but it looked like he has some good qualities but maybe had to fight differently than usual because of Tanks power.
He was lazy, was getting gassed so risked trying to counter Tank on the ropes again and it failed. Franks a good fighter he will cause some upsets
Tank may be the most dominant fighter in the world alongside Bud Crawford. When he stops Loma and makes Loma say No Mas the idiots will say Loma was to old.
He was 144 on the second day weigh in vs Garcia, if anyone cares. I think early on he realized that making weight in an hassle, and he did miss weight once at 130. Before that he often fought at 135 too, until the Pedraza fight. Smart move IMO. A lot of guys spend a significant part of their camp on making weight. One of the more infamous instances was the third Pacquiao vs Morales fight. The whole camp for Morales was about making weight. So no wonder he got taken out so easily.
Yeah that would be good if everyone fought at their natural weight. But in todays boxing climate where some people rehydrate 20lbs or more, rehydration clauses give an unfair advantage to smaller fighters.
No it doesn't. Rehydration clause keeps the weight limits at least somewhat relevant. If a fighter is rehydrating 20 pounds they should be in a higher division.
Tank himself rehydrates to at least 150. Imposing rehydration clauses in boxing today just means that one fighter will be at 100%, and the other one won’t. The fairest option is to have both at 100%, even if one of them has a 10lb weight advantage
