A great bantamweight out of Japan, my favorite Asian fighter and argueably one of the best fighter to come out of the region.

Scored a pair of wins over the great Brazilian boxer Eder Jofre, who was undefeated with a record of 50-0 before they met. Jofre went on to never lose again outside of his 2 losses to Harada, and is ranked #20 by Ring in their 80 greatest fighters in the past 80 years.

Stylisticaly, an amazing ball of non-stop action, a swarmer with nonstop energy and punch output. However, he could also box, evident if you watch the pair of Jofre fights in which he sometimes employs 4 to 5 jabs from the outside and shows a versital left hook to the body.

Oh, and very entertaining in the beggining of rounds, when he would come flying out of his corner to confront his opponents as they had barely stood up to start the round.

i respect him acb... but he is too open in giving that jab and hook. and a fighter of today like jmm will counter him and make him pay. and my boy pac will make him sleep during those exchanges. ;) pac will be the greatest Asian fighter after his career :good

yep.. i know. thinking of catch weight.

but he fought at 122 and as high as 126.

dont really know his prime weight but jmm and pac at those weight will be too much for harada.
when do you think was his prime??

I do believe jmm has the tools to counter him all the time. nice video find BTW.

A lot of respect must also go to Australia's Lionel Rose who went over to Japan and took his title off him.

Harada was a bum. Anyone could have been a three division champ in the days when there were only 9 weight divisions, and one belt per weight division.

That equates to achieving about half of what Cristian Mijares has.

    Mijares KO1 Harada.

so were Harada's wins over Jofre legit or robberies? SD and a close decision in his home town.

Not at all, I already laid him down in the other thread, it was a no contest.

This is a sincere thread, he has had my interest in the last few weeks since I got a chance to watch his full fights with Jofre. The real deal, he was.
