I'm no fan of these fights but let's be honest - Franklin and Zhang were only just the wrong side of 50-50 decisions against Whyte and Hrgovic. The only logic in what you say above is potential commercial value and in Hrgovic's case he wouldn't draw flies anyway.

If you'd said "AJ should be fighting Joyce" I'd be with you.

The DAZN UK business will only change price and/or schedule if income drops significantly through people no longer subscribing.

There is plenty of boxing to watch on 4 different broadcasting channels in the UK so there is choices for people.

I assume any potential Box Office viewers will have to subscribe for the year or pay the £19.99 monthly subscription plus the Box Office price?

Upwards of £39.99 will put many off in my opinion if that is the scenario for a non title British Heavyweight Fight already seen.

I never said I would pay for the PPV, but in this market it would be a PPV fight for sure.

Most people here said Franklin beat Whyte…now they are unhappy he is fighting Joshua. Whatever happens, people will always complain!

Yeah, shows how over rated Whyte really is. If he didn't have Fast Eddie promoting him throughout his career he wouldn't have gotten anywhere near where he has.

Hearn is now so cautious with his cash cow that he won’t even let him fight an easy rematch vs a shot Whyte next.

The rematch won’t be happening this summer either. How does a man who has fought once a year for 3 years in a row, fight twice in 2-3 months?

The summer rematch talk is sales talk to justify this easy touch.

Strange, I could have sworn he put together a string of wins over Allen -> Chisora -> Helenius -> Browne -> Parker -> Chisora -> Rivas -> Wach. Now sure, he got the nod in some close fights being a-side at home, but some of you act like he's Campbell Hatton ffs.

He is 33 not 60, its really not that hard to see how a fighter whos stock has plummeted can fight 2 or 3 times a year to rebuild his career. If AJ is serious about rebuilding his career then he cant wait around he needs to fight 2 or 3 times a year this year.

Gee what a killer list of names there lol, and half of them, as you said, got the nod as he was Eddie's boy.

Don't recall anyone comparing him to Campbell Hatton or acting like he was on par with Campbell Hatton. You're making things up there.

Also a fair few thought he was very average, and he looked like he'd won a competition to be in the ring with Fury. It wasn't be a bit outclassed he looked well out of his depth.

People thought he beat Whyte so lets stick AJ in with him

Promise you if ths scenario played out with a Boxxer/Queensbury fighter Hearn would be the first one to scoff at that reasoning. After all, he thought Whyte was a fair winner. It was a close fight, that's it. Ws not a robbery by any means

I severely doubt we will ever see AJ fight 3 times per year ever again. I can perhaps see him fighting twice per year at some point, but not at this stage of his career. He has got into a routine now of only fighting once per year, and many of the highest paid do only fight that often.

He isnt looking to rebuild, he is looking to make **** loads of money for minimum risk. That is what Franklin represents, a good level US sparring partner who cannot punch. So will take you rounds but cannot cause an accident.
