There is a certain amount of schadenfreude in all this. Someone who has courted the "muh numbers" and "muh A-Side" narrative relentlessly to gain a following and duck obvious dangers, is now being punished by those same definitions now that the balance of power has changed. It's almost as if there's a collective nucleus of HW's who have been shafted by Hearn previously who are all now gaining a bit of revenge knowing they hold the key to the good ship Joshua's continued fleecing of the casuals. Numbers and A-side aren't so fun when your star attraction is not in the driving seat anymore, and the build-up to the rematch hasn't even started yet.
Out of interest, Joshua was number 25 in the Forbes 100 richest athletes for 2018. Obviously Fury and Wilder didn't make the list at all. The only active boxer on the planet who made more than Joshua was Canelo. Just something to ponder when people talk of Wilder Fury proving there's so much more money to be made elsewhere. Unless of course, fanboys like yourself know more about professional sports financing than Forbes...
