Apparently prince hamid is an experienced kickboxer. Explains the fluid 1-2-knee combo.

There were two cameramen, any idea who they were filming for? one of the guys looked like one of maori tv's cameramen, but they usually put up banners in the stadium when they are filming for their show.

 

I'm not too sure about 'easily'....but it sure will test his workrate....Nader doesn't allow much room to live in there.

 

...in saying that...Yannick is very strong inside...it'll be a smash up.

It will be Otis vs Hamdan all over again except this time Nader is older, slower and just not the same fighter anymore, he should have retired sometime ago but he needs the money so he contuines to fight on, good luck to him but i just dont think he has what it takes anymore. Even when he was in peak condition he wasnt able to win the big fights and slowly declined due to injury and age. personally i think it will be an easy fight for Yannick, Nader wont be able to maul Yannick and get away with it as Yannick can do a fair bit of mauling himself and has some viciouse body shots.

 

yeah mate...you may be right Ty...but i respect when an ageing warrior plays the gatekeeper so to speak...and gives the young gunz a crack.

 

Lets just hope he doesnt try kick a judge or get on the mic and start swearing should he loose via decision, he is one hell of a warrior alright but also one hell of a bad sport, one in which we could all do without.

 

Yeah true but it's all heart on the sleeve stuff...I think Nader is a decent person but sometimes gets a little wound up...but yes not a good look when it does happen.

 

The positive is this should be a very good contest, and I'm certainly hoping Serge is up to it and gets the points.

World top-10 on Yannick's radar

COBURG boxer Serge Yannick will face his toughest fight yet when he steps into the ring on April 29.

Yannick, 28, formerly of Cameroon, will face Sydney’s Nader Hamdan at the Reggio Calabria Club in Brunswick with the World Boxing Association Pan African super-middleweight and Pan Asian Boxing Association super-middleweight titles on the line.

Hamdan is an established fighter, with over 50 professional bouts to his name. He fought Anthony Mundine for the WBA World super-middleweight crown in 2008. Nicknamed “Lion Heart”, he took Mundine to a full 12 rounds.

Boxing promoter Charlie Liparota said a win on April 29 would catapult Yannick on to the world boxing scene.

“Should Serge be successful he would shoot into the top 10 of the world rankings,” Liparota said. “Which would put him in good contention to fight for a world title in the near future. Serge knows that this is his biggest fight to date and will dedicate his entire life to preparing himself.”

The fight will be Yannick’s 14th professional bout, with his career boasting 12 wins (six by knockout) and one loss.

In 2010 he was undefeated in seven fights.

Confirmed undercard fights to this point will include Diana Prazak taking on Eilleen Forrest and Ash Caminiti taking on Kane Buckley.

 

I'm not disrespecting Serge but Nader will take him 12....Serge will get his workrate tested out....good fight.

 

A huge test for Serge, no doubt Darkhorse. We'll know a lot more about where he's heading after this one.

 

Nader just posted on ABF that he's had to pull out of this fight due to injury...he's done his back while sparrin' Geale and Medley up at the Grange...he wont fight now until his match against Sherro in June....bugger!
