Beating a bunch of ordinary guys two divisions below Hagler doesn't mean anything.

Which one of them beats Hagler? None.

Hell, I wouldn't pick any of those guys to beat Hearns or Alan Minter, let alone Hagler.

When Rene Jacquot is too big of a mountain to climb, it isn't happening.

Curry was a special fighter for a short period of time.
Starling is a great boxer. While not great Jones was pretty soild. Mccroy was good as well.
    And he DOMINATED them.
Hd would have given Hagler a better fight then you think.
Curry is a little like Camacho. Blessed with natural skill everything was super easy for them.
But first time getting really hurt both were never the same again.
Funny prime Camacho who I saw up close was really something.

Yeah, on April 10, 1983, Bobby Joe lost by TKO. I think it was a title eliminator for Curry.

1982 time period, Curry may beat Young, if he gets caught by Bobby Joe, it's a wrap. He wasn't the fighter he become in 1985 in 1983, still learning the ropes a bit.
