Baysangurov switching his stance every few seconds, landing skewering jabs and rear-hand straight punches on Amirkhanyan from either, toying with him like a predator with an isolated weak or ill member of a herd. Amirkhanyan is loading up on left hands behind a probing right jab, and fending Baysangurov off with left uppercuts downstairs when he can to dissuade him from posting up on the inside.

Round 7

Quick pause by the ref to check on the cut. Time in. Baysangurov is rolling in overhand rights behind the jab, strapping Amirkhanyan on the jaw and then catching him with left hooks while he's reeling. Chopping right on the guard by Baysangurov and Amirkhanyan is down, slip/push. Amirkhanyan is scorching the face of Baysangurov with sharp southpaw 1-2s from outside, and lobbing hard underhanded lefts into the body.

Round 8

Baysangurov commits to southpaw and jabs the body with the right, chiseling away on the chest. Overhands and hooks by Baysangurov in close. Amirkhanyan is putting together couplets at minimum in his straight flurries, sometimes as many as half a dozen on the face, but the harder stuff is from Baysangurov who is weaving his way in close and springing up diagonally from low side angles to exploit the Philly shell of the Armenian with vicious chops on the beard. Ref looks at that cut once more. Time in, again. Amirkhanyan is twirling and sizing Baysangurov up for straight flurries but the Chechen is flitting around, neck bent, rolling with everything and surging in with counters.

Baysangurov is catching Amirkhanyan now with the left jab as the latter reorients himself to Baysangurov approaching via the front gate, and from the now distantly familiar orthodox stance. Baysangurov turning his head back with the jab but then getting smothered as Amirkhanyan waves his own arms down upon his to neutralize them. Amirkhanyan landing left hands as they separate. Baysangurov tries gazelle punches leaping in with the right but can not quite reach the face as Amirkhanyan leans back and raises his gloves to intercept.
