From the site that brings news about fights.

“There are seven Mexican champions including me who have won 3 world titles. I want to be the first Mexican to win 4 world titles. This will not make me the greatest Mexican champion – I am not on the same level as Chavez, Morales or Barrera – but it will be history. Actually it will be unbelievable history. I want to win this title so bad. Morel has speed but a great body attack will take that away. It’s Mexico vs Puerto Rico, my kind of a fight.”

:verysad Erik won titles at 122, 126, and 130. He lost to Diaz when he campaigned for a Lightweight strap.

:verysad Just so you know, Erik Morales made his come back on March 23, 2010 and fought Jose Alfaro for the vacant WBC. Just saying.

    The International Welterweight title?

    Irrelevant, a non-event.

    That's what i thought.

Glad to see that Arce is quite grounded with regards to his standing in modern day Mexican boxing. Winning multiple titles doesn't necessarily make you the best.

People seem to be actually considering Erik a four weight world champion because he won a vacant International strap against an unknown.

    Spellbinding. Only on ESB. :good

I don't think it was for the proper WBC belt. It was for the international or inter-continental belt or some **** like that.

Andre Berto is the proper WBC world champ at that weight.

I'm really hoping the guy was mistaken and thought that the Morales-Alfaro fight was for the WBC world belt. These inter-bollocks belts are bad enough without having people actually believing they mean something.

MAB should have been the first Mexican 4-div champ but his fight with Jesus Chavez fell through due to Chavez's knee injury!
