**** Rojas and Mtagwa, now Donaire and Nishioka, and Mares and Moreno are both signed, they should do Rigondeaux-Arce and get one of those 2 out of the equation too.
He earned my respect, and IMO clearly earned a rematch and chance to settle the score, but he did not earn the right to claim he was the better man on the night or that he made Arce quit. Data inconclusive until/unless they rematch.
****** ALert FIght recap: Round 1. Arce KD Rojas, Rojas gives Travieso a tougher than expected 2nd half of the round while still being outboxed.................10-8 ARCE. Round 2. Rojas throws a 4 foul combo within the first 5 seconds of the fight. Fight over....... ND
Its Arce didnt crouch he wouldnt have been hit low, Arse then came in with his head which collided with rojas head, then Rojas threw a body shot right before Arse turned to the side hitting him in the kidneys then Arse turns his back after Rojas had thrown a straight right. It aint Rojas fault chico
You sure you're maybe not viewing that sequence through Rojas-colored glasses? You're allowed to crouch in boxing. It's ducking your upper body down below the waist that's illegal. Crouching is A-OK. Are you sure it's Arce who led with his head? If Arce turns exposing his side, and THEN Rojas hits him in the kidney as you say - it isn't Rojas' fault? :huh So let's say Arce thrust his pelvis out making his testicles a prominent target - is it not Rojas' fault if he sees this and winds up a nut shot? :think
This content is protected This content is protected [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4mFwIbAGhE[/ame] -- It is clear Rojas got in that ass and made Arce quit to try to save himself from a devestating KO. **** after the knockdown you could argue Rojas battered Arce the rest of the round. Hell 50 seconds before the end of the 1st round you have Rojas making Arce grab and hold on for dear life after those body shots and hard head shots. In the second round Arce cups the back of Rojas's head and makes the body shot go low, that is on Arce not Rojas. The headbutt happened because both dropped and leaned forward to through, incidental contact not a foul. The right to the back was irrelevant. The left hook is just good ole fashioned fighting, Bayless was uncharacteristically slow breaking the action, but that is on Arce, protect yourself at all times. It is clear though Arce was looking for a way out quick after being dominated 2:45 of the 1st round.
