A boxer- specially if not mexican or boricua-needs to be promoted,Its crazy that someone with Rigo's skills last year only fought once,unbelievable how he went to San Diego and was ignored by the press and his own promoter.

Gamboa for example,has been more exposed and everybody likes him( except chronic haters)and he didn't have to wave a mexican flag.Because he is good, and either mexicans,ricans,phillipines( not *******s) can appreciate it.
If Rigo won't fight Donaire,OK, let him fight on HBO against Marquez or Nishioka or Vasquez Jr anybody else, but for god sake, such a talent just sitting there ,begging for a ****ing fight is just sick.

 

Gamboa was coming from a huge promotion in germany-courtesy of Oner and arena-he landed one or 2 fights on espn and was already in HBO against Darling Jimenez,where he didn't win by KO and tasted the canvas himself but boxed good enough for a wide UD.People could appreciate he had the tools to be a legit champ and since then has been with HBO.
Rigo had to deal with the management fight b/w Hyde and Oner, inactive for too long, then sent to wild card where he didn't feel good.Then back to Miami, looking for fights-had to go Ireland to get a decent fight.And believe me,as good as gamboa is, Rigo is a superior boxer.

 

and what is he suppose to do? stay silent and fighting once a year?, he doesn't have a promoter getting him good fights, or letting people know about him.Only resource is promoting himself with the help of the immediate people surrounding him.Make some noise.And seize the opportunity.
