Give me your lists of Old Mongoose's 5 best wins in order.

Also, where do you rank Archie among the greatest fighters of all time - top-10, 20, 30? What fighters of more recent times (lets say last 50 years) do you rank higher than him?

Too many to list that were better than him tbh!! Archie is not in my top 50. He actually started out as a middleweight. He had loads of fights in his career but I would struggle to pick out his 5 best wins without spending a few hours on google

    I'll go with,

    Bivins II
    Marshall I
    Johnson V
    Maxim I
    Valdes II

At least top 30, perhaps as high as the bottom 5 of the top 20.

Off the top of my head,
    Ali, Duran, Leonard, Pacquiao.

I would insert Durelle in their. Moore was a few days short of his 45th birthday and climbed off the canvas a total of 4 times to KO his 29 year old opponent. An emphatic win.

I think he’s top 15 for sure. Arguably top ten.
I think his best scalps are
    Harold Johnson
    Jimmy Bivins
    Joey Maxim
    Nino Valdez
    Lloyd Marshal
Honorable mention to Bob Baker, Satterfield, Jack Chase, Clarence Henry

Im not surprised he’s not in your top 50 if you’d have to spend hours on Google to comb through his better wins. He’s unquestionably a top 50 all-timer. I would say top 30, personally.

Yeah I wasn't born when he was around and many names on his resume aren't hugely known. I do dabble in a bit of history especially within the heavyweight division. I don't agree however that there hasn't been 50 better all time fighters than archie from every division throughout time!!

Fair enough - if the time is with you, I’d be interested to see fifty more accomplished men.

Archie's 1940 trip to Australia was very important to his career. His victories over Ron Richards and Fred Henneberry boosted his confidence and re-affirmed his belief in himself. Had he messed up Down Under, his career may have spiraled down hill. He was at a crossroads at the time.
