The thing is back in those days fighters were fighting often and fighting against dangerous opposition daily. So you see more knockdowns more losses it doesn't take away from their greatness though.

In todays era your lucky to see a champion fighting twice a year and very rarely do you see a top champion today fighting in numerous fights that are very loseable fights for them.

For example how many fights has Crawford had outside of Spence in which you thought his opponent had a good chance of beating him ?

If anything, the first Durelle bout is testament to the strength of Moore's chin and recuperative powers. Probably the greatest in-ring comeback of all time.
