Ah, the ravages ot TIME. The first time i laid eyes on Archie Moore was in the 1940s,
when i was a youngster standing at Stillman's gym. Archie Moore walked in with another man and two gorgeous chicks, dressed to the nines...He was so dapper and well groomed
and didn't look like your typical pug...Archie exuded CLASS then and til the day he died...
What a fighter, what a man...One of the very best fighters that ever lived. Yessir...

Burt, I'm continually jealous everytime you pop up with one of your first hand accounts like that lol. Must have been a great privilege looking back to have been present in the gym with The Mongoose, a truly great fighter and a guy who, from what I've seen in his interviews over the years, was just a class act.

He's one of the top guys who I would have liked to have watched fight live in the flesh if I had the ability to timetravel.

He wouldn't be the first boxer to have that sort of outlookon this subject. It's a surprising common thing. Although that being said, maybe the fact you've been knocked out has an effect on the short term memory of what preceeded it, so it might be hard for fighters (not Moore specifically) who've been KO'd to recall fully and clearly how hard the opponent's punches felt at the time? Or that might just be a stupid crackpot theory lol.
