    Hopkins's track record at LHW:

    Decision win over Tarver
Close decision win over Winky Wright (a 154 lber in his prime) fought at a catchweight
    Split decision loss to Calzaghe
Decision win over Pavlik (a 160 lber) fought at a catchweight
Decision win over Andrade's inferior brother
Decision win over a shot Roy Jones
A hometown draw against Jean Pascal
A decision win over Jean Pascal
    Injury loss to Dawson

Basically his meaningful wins at 175 are over Tarver and Pascal.

I don't think that's enough to put him in discussions with Archie Moore at 175 lbs.

it's not about who should be in discussions with who, nobody's asking you to rate Hopkins' legacy at 175 pounds, you're being asked who would win a fight between Hopkins and Moore.

If you're saying that you question Hopkins' ability to hang with Moore because you believe he is unproven at the poundage then ok, but you have to understand a question mark over his ability at the weight doesn't necessarily mean he can't hang with him, it's a question mark, assuming he can't deal with Moore is similar to assuming he can. I'll take Moore because of his strength at the weight and because at his best he made fighters fight.

I think his legacy at the weight shows that he was never at the level required to take on an Archie Moore in an even match-up. We have to consider that he was over 40 years old and not fighting at his best weight when competing as a light heavy.

yeah like I say, all things considered, I have Moore. For the record I thought he beat Calzaghe and therefore never lost at the weight in my opinion, **** fight though.
