Prime Moore fights Prime Beterbieve. Thing is, Moore was in the 170s in the ring. With day before weigh ins, Beterbieve could be in the 190s on fight night.

It’s hard not to pick Moore here. To much experience. The weight means nothing

Moore was 188 against Moore and 196 against Valdes, they might not be as far apart in weight as we think.

Still going for Archie,he is the more proven and has more facets to his game,Beterbiev may be his equal in power, but he isn't in ring smarts.

Moore is too cagey, too smart. And, despite his impressive offensive arsenal, Beterbiev isn't exactly a defensive master. I think at some point Moore catches Artur and gets the stoppage.

I got Biev. I think most tend to underrate his skillset because he tends to fight off the front foot with more of a brawling style but he's still a great technician and excels at adapting in the ring. Gvozdyk, Yarde, and Smith all presented considerable stylistic challenges and he adapted his approach for each one. If Biev were as defensively irresponsible as some suggest he is, he would have been KTFO by each of the men listed above. Biev has a lot of dimensions as a fighter and is better than Moore technically speaking (by today's standard of good fundamentals anyway) as well as being physically bigger and hitting just as hard (as much as one can next to Ol' Archie). Moore is an excellent technician and an extraordinary counter-puncher with bags of power but, then again, so was Yarde and Biev dominated and stopped him. Moore was bested by Burley, Charles, and Harold Johnson all while in his prime and was ground down and stopped by a faded Marciano (yes, Moore was past his best but he was still running hot and was on a good run at the time). I think Biev wins this by late stoppage.

The champ with the longest resume v the one with the shortest. Can't write Beterbiev off but I cannot favor him here.

Charles and Johnson were ATGs at light heavy. Burley was said to be one of the best at middleweight to never win a championship. Marciano was a HW ATG. It's not like Beterbieve couldn't have lost to that bunch.

Beterbiev is my favorite current/modern fighter, by far. He's one of the most complete Light Heavyweights I've seen.

Head-to-Head, he makes for great matches - even with the divisions ATGs, IMO (and I know this is an opinion based on the eye-test since, like much of the modern era, they have little in the way of peers against whom to be truly tested).

However, in terms of a speculative winner, it is difficult to pick against the legends of the division's history and I'd have to back a Moore, who bested Maxim, Johnson, Bivins, and Marshall to beat Beterbiev by decision.

I think Moore would be a comparatively difficult target for Beterbiev to nail consistently and it would be interesting to see how he handled Moore's ability to effortlessly blend offense and defense in the mid-to-short range, with the wide array of tools in his armory. This, on top of Moore's versatile use of the jab and awesome counter-right-cross from the outside, combined with his instinctive footwork and all-round creativity, gives him the edge.

Bump, perceptions of matchups like this are always changing as long as one is still active.
Moore could weigh in at 175lbs and come in the ring in the late 180s as long as he cuts water weight from the late 180s and doesn’t lose actual body mass to get down to 175lbs, he didn’t look that soft when he was like 188lbs, he was a bigger man naturally than Bob Foster. Moore and Beterbiev are both some of the greatest of all time at 175lbs, I would worry for Moore about the uppercuts from Beterbiev with that cross arm guard, Moore may be better at range, so he should stick to boxing and only mix it up when he has to, and only use the cross arm guard when he’s right on Beterbiev’s chest when he has no room to get uppercuts off, and use it to push him off and get overhand rights off, but should stick behind his boxing if he wants to win, Beterbiev may not be able to have his way physically as he has with many, so he might not have as much success trying to back Moore up and close the ring off, as Moore may box in the middle of the ring and when Beterbiev pressures, he doesn’t back to the ropes, rather just looks to time him and when he doesn’t land, clinch Beterbiev and use his own strength to attempt to outmuscle Beterbiev back off of him.
The bulk of this fight from Moore should be boxing though, but at the same time he doesn’t need to run or allow himself to be bullied as he can compete with Beterbiev for strength.
