You are endorsing Williams reputation for always being KTFO against name fighters with this. Give the guy a break.

He also got knocked down in some of the fights he won.

How come he didn't just punch Marciano like that?

And I didn't know Joe Louis won golf tournaments.

According to boxrec, Moore was 176 pounds and Davidson 210 lbs in that fight. Guess a hard hitting light heavy can potentially hurt a heavy.

As did Archie Moore and pretty much any other great fighter you could think of.

What a bizarre thing to say.

Cleveland was not a great fighter though.

He’s the only puncher without a signature knockout win in an important fight.

And he got knocked out whenever he stepped up. And when he got knocked out he often suffered multiple knockdowns too.

If he suffered knockdown in fights he won, it is worth a mention.

Because That does not bode well against a record holding knockout artist like Archie Moore.

Straightforwardly untrue. He was never stopped or floored by anyone but Liston when he was anywhere close to his prime.

Cleveland stops him with a punch from the blue. Archie stuns Williams and goes for the kill but it's Cleveland that gets the trophy win.
    Williams ko Moore 6

Moore still has a better Resume than Williams at heavyweight. And you know it.

Bob Baker, Nino Valdes, Clarence Henry, Satterfeild, hatchet man Shepherd, Jimmy Bivins, Karel Sys, Charlie norkus, Bob Albright, Roger Rischer, Radmacher, Lavorante. There are heavyweight champions with less wins over top heavyweights than this.

How many of them were ranked when Archie beat them? How many of them were over 190lbs?

Williams prime was cut short by a 357 magnum, hardly his fault.
Guys like Patterson,Johannson,Folley, weren't exactly queuing up to fight him.
