Satterfield went onto beat Holman twice, Mederos,Summerlin, and Valdes just a year later and he was ranked in the top ten in 55 &56 and had been ranked the year previous to fighting Williams, lets not portray him as some over the hill fighter.Satterfield was beatable does that in any way diminish the fact that he was a monster puncher?
Was Shavers a huge puncher? Was Lyle? Was Mac Foster? How many ranked opponents did they ko?
We have the testimony of Liston, Foreman and Terrell ,concerning Williams power.

Nobody is comparing Williams to Joe Louis.
    You want to compare records?
Let's take a look at Marciano's opposition at a similar stage.
    33rd fight Harold Mitchell181lbs 4-14-3
    34th Art Henri 184lbs 13-15-1
    35th Willis Applegate 11-14-3
And Rocky was 27 years old!
Williams was kept away from punchers?

    Mitchell's ko percentage is 4.17%!
    Henri's ko's 18.7%!
    Applegate's ko's 13.3%!

Chief knocker? In the name of fairness, I’m just putting the same microscope over them that applies to everyone else.

So Williams was not a veteran of 34 pro fights or 25lb heavier than Bob Satterfeild who has won just 2 of his last six having been knocked cold six months previously?

Being a late substitute when he fought just 12 days earlier and had been fighting 10 -20 times a year is not really that much of a late substitute is it? If you fight that often you are always ready. It’s like Tyson in the first two years of his career. He could have fought anyone at two days notice and won.

You don't have to take my word for it, make a poll and see who agrees with me and who agrees with you?

Satterfield had been top ten ranked at the end of the previous year and would be top ten ranked in the next 2 coming years.

Want to look at Marciano's 34th opponent? Run your ****ing microscope over Art Henri 13-15-1 ko percentage 18.7%!
Williams had 2 days notice for that fight! After the Williams fight, Satterfield scored another 3 straight ko's.

McVey, Cleveland Williams kayoed Ernie Terrell, in 7 rounds on April 3 1962, but was defeated by Terrell on April 13 1963, by a split decision.

What has Marciano got to do with this?

Williams 56th opponent he was still fighting a 18lb lighter, 7-15 guy with a KO percentage of 11% Called James Willy...

Marciano was an undefeated champ by that many fights.

I'd favor Moore. Williams would be a live dog. Archie was so crafty. He knew how to set guys up. Lay traps. Ray Arcel referred to mental energy. Moore would be playing chess. BigCat checkers.
    Interesting matchup though.

Prior to being shot Williams was stopped just 3 times in 69 fights. Two of these were tko's, not knocked the **** out jobs. These two were also against Sonny Liston. In the other he was a last second substitute.

The guy who lost to David Bey, drew with Steffen Tangstad, was stopped by Mike 12-5-1 White, outpointed by Jesse Ferguson and stopped by Tony Tucker ain't beating Mike Tyson either, ya know. Not a chance.
