That short left landed at the end - you can see Bivins head jolt back.

It actually wasn't a KO it was a corner stoppage between rounds. It was claimed he could not see out of one eye. You can see him indicate this when he rose.

The more i watch of Moore the more he impresses me. Virtually everything is a strength. He is a virtual encyclopedia of boxing.

Almost looked that punch from more “ pushed “ him down rather than knocked him down. But he hit his head on the canvas it appeared. That was what happened to Adilson Rodriguez when he lost to Holyfield

The right hand wasn't a punch really. It was a short left uppercut immediately prior that is quite hard to see. His knee's go immediately on impact.

yeah it was hard to see but that shot apparently had a lot of power behind it. Bivins was definitely rattled

I think he'd taken quite a bit up to that point in the bout too Goo. Moore was hell on wheels in there wasn't he. There was seldom much respite.

In a sport where the object is to “ knock out “ your opponent, having the MOST recorded KO’s of all time speaks for itself. A truly one of a kind record and one of several reasons why Moore was one of the best.

This. Those old boxing rings were extremely stiff. The newer rings give a lot more and are more forgiving on your joints.

I’m sure a lot of guys lost fights because crashing on that floor did as much if not more damage than the punch which sent them there

First..Pabst Blue Ribbon was almost undrinkable.
Second...every man was wearing a thin, dark tie. I haven't worn a tie in 25 years. Not even to my daughter's wedding.
Third...who the hell was screaming in the 9th round?
Lastly...Bivins backing up footwork reminded me of Ali's footwork.

Very true. I must set some time aside and watch him in action again. Might even post a fight thread for one of them.
