intriguing fight, even if just visually. Archie Moore would win most of the time and could work a stoppage given Ken Nortons proclivity to press the fight he potentially problematically had dead legs at heavyweight so “Snortin” would’ve been besieging his defences immediately. Which could be good and bad. Ken Norton’s urgency early would be a priority youthful, Herculean and possibly the best conditioned 210 pound boxer I’ve seen or remember seeing he’d have to just get Arch before he is out-thought and the master undressed his style Ken just wouldn’t get a chance to win by the mid rounds. If I was his trainer I’d have “The Fighting Marine” come in at 220 pounds like he was with Pedro Lovell and not plan for a long fight which I think Eddie Futch would agree with. Most importantly Ol Archie could counter off of any punch, I have never seen anyone stop Ken Nortons body punching effort consistently but Archie would and it’d have been a critical mistake for Ken Norton to be stuck at punching range with the “Mongoose” whilst being given no inside or outside options. Below linked is my favourite Ken Norton fight it’s good to see him in with someone who is a bit of an all rounder, Pedro Lovell could fight alright at every range and could punch a bit. I’d say “Spider Rico” did pretty good and great quality film too. This content is protected
