Archie Moore is one of the best contenders in history of HW division. Unfortunately, he got his chance against one of the best fighters ever in Rocky Marciano.

Who do you think would lose his title against Archie Moore among all linear HW champions? I think that he would beat quite a lot of them, but let me ask you before I'll decide.

He'd lose more than he'd win, he couldn't beat Patterson who is a HW great who I rank very low H2H

    Hed beat a few tho

    Schmeling
    Sharkey

    Tommy Burn s
    Marvin Hart
    Maybe Sharkey
    Maybe Primo
    Braddock
    Maybe Ingo
    Leon spinks ,Moore has a 80 /20 shot I reckon .
    And that's it I believe .

It depends. Archie in the early 50’s before he started struggling with his weight would do very well and would have a good chance against any of the linear heavyweight champions of the past, since he was a complete fighter.

However, after winning the light heavyweight title from Maxim Moore started letting himself go and his conditioning was never the same. Post 1954 Moore would fall short against most former Linear heavyweight champions, since his speed and stamina were long gone.

So he wouldn't beat Willard? Wouldn't have a chance against Sharkey? Walcott? Michael Spinks? Moorer?

I know he's not linear, but I see Archie beating Joshua too. I'm not Joshua hater but he's far too mechanical to beat Moore for my taste.

Moore was already at an advanced age when he won the title from Maxim, though he was known to love his food ,I think he just naturally put on weight as he aged.

Willard less skilled than Moore but are we talking 25 round or more ,then his durability over that distance may weaken Archie.
Spinks at heavyweight , good interesting fight ,I'll shade it to MS but not a lot .
Yes Walcott could probably lose to him but depending on what version turn s up .
Moorer , thinking bout that one ,tbh not entirely sure how it could go .
Sharkey s similar to Jersey , depending on the night where his mind is !
