Jones KO6 because Moore doesn't have the chin to take Jones powershots and he'd land at will, far too quick, Moore struggled with speed (Charles, Patterson, Burley)

Moore humiliates Jones after six rounds, figure an eleventh round stoppage. His experience would be too much for Jones to handle, despite the obvious talent.

I see it sort of both ways.

Jones has the skills, speed and generalship to be in controll early and outbox Moore, in fact I don't see Moore fairing well at all in a boxing match with Jones. Think its a bit like Jones is like a leopard here, fast and exciting to watch when he hunts, has a razzmatazz and energy about him, and Moore is like a crocodile, waiting for his perfect chance to kill his prey.

I think Moore is going to play his savvy old trickster card here, I think he is defensivly sound, and smart, enough to be able to weather Jones punches early and then look to create traps for hard counter-punches, and really is there anyone better than Moore than this? Maybe Fitzsimmons.

So I can see Jones storming off to a lead, dazzling the crowd with flashy skills, as Moore waits like a crocodile for his oppertunity.

Whatever the result, this certainly is a more competitive fight than Mayorga vs. Ray Leonard

Jones's speed and power over Moore's craftiness.

Roy Jones wins a UD, in a boring fight. You wouldn't see flashes of brilliance, you'd see Roy play it safe, get the win and worry about looking sensational the next time.

This. Jones will lead, outbox him while Moore sets up trap after trap until Jones is overlooking one, hurts him and puts him out. Wouldn´t be surprised if Jones would lead wide, given how Moore could be troubled by speed. But in the end a "tap-smith" and puncher of Moore´s calibre against a chin like Jones ... there can only be one outcome. Yeah, Charles, Burley and Patterson all troubled Moore with speed but Jones isn´t in the class of Charles and Burley and doesn´t punch anywhere as hard as Patterson - to keep the fight short - and has a worse chin.

    Very nicely put.

On paper, I think Moore is the perfect fighter to beat Jones, and I wouldn't hesitate to pick him at LHW.

    Co-sign, that was well stated.

I would take Moore's greater versatility and sound fundamentals.

You think Moore was done 1year after his Marciano performance? 2 years before he fought Durrelle? 6 years before he drew with Pastrano. Moore may have been past his best but was still a good version. A younger comparison maybe the Burley or Charles fights, many have drawn comparisons between Burley and Jones
