A tremendous comeback, given the dire straits he was in and his age.Truly magical!

This has been called the best Lt. Heavy championship fight of all time. I hit you...you hit me!! In this "safety first" world of boxing in this day in age...this fight shows you how gallant the warriors were back in the 1950's.

Im having trouble believing archie moore as really 44 years old here, especially without the extra "help" modern fighters have that somewhat slow down the aging process. He doesnt even fight like an old fighter i.e. lots of holding and spoiling. What a great fighter

    What an incredible fight.
Unbelievable action, and like you said mini momentum shifts.

Great recap Rummy. Your work is getting better and better!

Incidentally, if any one has suggestions for future "Classic Fight Recaps", I am definitely open to hearing ideas.

I have the first half dozen or so editions already in mind, but my only condition/prerequisite is that it is a good fight with high quality film available. For now, I'm sticking pre-1980 stuff, but will probably break that "rule" down the line.

    Thanks in advance!
