ARCHIE LOOKED PRETTY COMFORTABLE IN THERE and looked fit as a fiddle, He looked good against Bob Baker as well, experience, power and skill. Archie is one of my favorites all-around

So where does that put Frazier and Ali in the Heavy rankings for battering Foster in 2 and 8 rounds respectively?

Seeing as you are using Moore to crow about Marciano.

Did Bob Foster ever beat the number 1 ranked heavyweight contender?

Better yet did Bob Foster ever defeat a top 10 ranked heavyweight contender? foster had chances against Doug jones ernie Terrell zora Folley. Foster went 0-3 vs these men. I highly doubt Archie would go 0-3 vs these men

Perhaps if Foster was regularly beating top heavyweight contenders like Moore was...Foster would be a more respectable win for the heavyweight division

well when Mike Spinks moved up to fight Holmes, Spinks was the less of the evils as far as contenders go but he right handed his way to victory and it was Spinks 1st fight as a heavyweight. Foster could not deal with heavyweights, Spinks had mixed results and a bad ending ...Archie had a 50 fight run and beat a few top contenders and a few ATG to finally get his title shot but he had success against the bigger younger men until the brutal beating by Marciano

Archie Moore was an absolute class fighter...... He was so good.... So natural, a wonderful boxer, good defense and amazing power.

Moore vs Tunney would be amazing

The Moore fight shows just how good Marciano was. Moore is a fighter that makes everything look so effortless and so easy. A true professional. Yet against Marciano he is constantly seen waiting for an opportunity that never comes. Marciano just overwhelms him with stamina and volume and eventually the old mongoose just has to capitulate. Its a great performance by Marciano.
