This is the issue with the random governing body belts. He is at #1 but its incredibly hard to pick his best win. So many good fights during the last few years that could have happened with the likes of Zelfa Barrett. Him vs Anthony Caccace would be brilliant.
He was with Frank who always manages to get his fighters WBO title fights but sacked him off for Probellum who’ve got about as much clout in boxing as me Nan since the Kinahan stuff. Serves him right.
It's odd because he has been #1 for ages he should get his shot. But not a single fight on his record suggest he deserves one. Have missed some really decent domestic fights
His promoter shouldn't be a factor in the WBO giving him a chance. Of course in the real world, see post by Terminator above.

Him vs Anthony Caccace on the Fury/Usyk undercard. Would give both a huge platform, eye balls on them and what title/ranking on offer is totally irrelevant.
He shouldn't even be #1 with the WBO. I last saw him get a lucky decision against an English level Jeff Ofori. If Eddie Hearn had the relationship with a governing body like Frank Warren does with the WBO, he'd be vilified on here.
He is neither good enough or deserves to be there but the fact that he is and gets ignored makes a mockery of the WBO and its rankings.
I remember watching him live against Leon Woodstock a few years ago. He's decent but surprised he's #1 when he's not even #1 in UK.
Yes, I remember thinking he might have something after seeing that fight. I think he sparked out a reasonable kid straight afterwards and was also doing a decent no of tickets which Warren would have liked. After that he nosedived with boring performances and then ran to Probelum. I wonder if he’s still in the Ibox gym? I don’t see or hear much of him and Warren still sponsors it. If he is still there it’s bizarre - Dennis McCann, Sam Noakes and now Big Bang O’Leary are all flying on BT. As others have said, If he had any ambition about him he should be ringing Frank and asking for Cacace next or even Eddie might be willing to give him a shot at Cordina or a Barrett fight.
