"Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

:rofl:rofl So what does Floyd do? Goes out and gets 20 million vs De La Hoya. Get out Pac while you still can!

I have a feeling Arum may be the reason that we could not see PBF v cotto/pac. Hes a damn fool.

This man, Arum, has been around boxing for a long, long time. Read Atlas' book. He says,"People say that Don King is evil, but Bob Arum is just as bad, easily."

Why would Arum offer more for fighting Margarito than Cotto or Hatton is crazy(both much bigger draws than Margarito), that has an ulterior motive written all over it - definitely one of the reasons why Floyd left him.

I never Arum doubted was a slimy snake. That's just funny. 7 million to fight Hatton and Floyd made 20 million + for that as well! LOL And why give him 8 million for Margo-Cheato but not Cotto? LOL Okay Floyd haters, maybe you might think, oh yeah, some dirty **** does go down in the sport and maybe it's not all on Floyd huh? Well, that'd be ask'n too much from you haters! LOL

I met Arum at Olympic Auditorium at the De La Hoya vs Chavez I press conference. I was involved with the closed circuit events at Olympic Auditorium and Cal State Fulerton. I was able to go backstage and meet Arum, Oscar, and Chavez.

Arum in my opinion is a good business man. He is detail oriented and expects people to do as they say. I don't think PBF could ever be a better businessman than Arum. However, as we know promoters dont pay fighters what they are worth regardless. That is why Oscar stated Golden Boy.

I doubt PBF could ever be as much as a success as Arum or Oscar.

We really cant say anything until PBF about 25 years from now when PBF is homeless.

Exactly and consider what he ended up making against Hatton! Damn, Arum could have gotten off cheap for Floyd/Hatton compared to what Floyd made later on!

When did I ever say floyd was a better business man then Arum lol? Floyd knows whats up. Just like Oscar. Oscar broke away from Arum and made his own loot. And Mayweather has done the same. Both have become infinitely richer since the split.
