ARUM: "I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it," he said.

Hilarious.......so seeing one of your own fighters(who has fought under your banner for practically his whole career) get a huge payday isn't in your best interest because there isn't enough money in it for yourself(mind you Arum is loaded). LMAO!!!!

Actually PBF is broke he has no cash to pay Uncle Sam-- Oscar is infinitely richer though

Floyd is a great businessman and Arum is a snake. Where did I say that Floyd was better then Arum. Arums snakeness serves him well in the business world

Floyd made 40 mil atleast fighting Hatton and DLh. It was reported he owed the government 7 mil. Do the math.

After the JMM fight, Floyd will have made about 60 million in 3 fights. I think he made about 45 for ODLH and Hatton combined, plus the 15 or 16 mil for JMM. Not too damn bad!

And the fact that the "small percentage" he would be making would obviously be more than he gets for other fights, considering how big the fights are he would only get a "small percentage"!

I don't think a person that owes the governement 7 million dollars could merit being called a great business man. More amzaingly how can a great businessman earn 40 million and still wind up 7 million in the hole.

However, considering the current economic situation we could call PBF a leech trying to get a free ride on the working mans back.

Arum's definitely a cheap ass but please don't forget that the DLH-Mayweather profits went through the roof when 2 essential things were done to make it a money making machine :

1- HBO started the 24/7 shows that were an instant success and had a huge role to play in the hype surrounding the fight.

2- Big corporate sponsors were brought in to secure huge promotional campaigns.

Bob Arum couldn't predict any of those 2 things happening.......

Anyways, don't need to be wizz in math to understand that there's more money to be made independently when you already have a name made, than through a promotional firm.

I would also point out that PBF opted out of the Margarito fight for 8 million and made a little less to fight Baldomir. That wasn't necessarily an immediate business decision but rather it was made to preserve the Mega money fight with DLH... Imagine if Floyd lost to Margarito.... There wouldn't have been $25 million around for him against DLH ! Margarito was more dangerous at the time than Baldomir, therefore Baldomir it was..

I can't believe people here it straight from the snake's mouth himself, and still try and put an idiotic twist on it, just because it's Floyd and they love to hate! They don't know anything about business apparently, or SUPPOSED owed taxes! LOL

I won't explain for the mentally deficient again, but I can give you the name of a USA TODAY top notch reporter and you can ask him about when reports come out about people "owing" taxes! LOL

Nonsense. Floyd made the same as he would fighting Margarito. He made 8 million fighting Baldomir. The reason he didnt fight Margarito was because Arum wouldnt guarantee him money for Cotto and Hatton. And wouldnt make the DLH fight.
