Are all boring fights only meant for the real sweet science fans?

No, they're meant for PBF fans.

 

Thats what fans who need to justify their fighters boring style. boxing is about fighting, fighting is about hurting your opponent, not who gets hurt the least. If you didnt wanna hurt each other why box...tsk. Great defense is only great when your doing it WHILST trying to hurt your opponent, ala Tyson.

 

What about Pernell Whitaker? Is he not a real fighter? He only had about 17 knocjouts.

 

Although Whitaker didn't carry bombs, he actually threw punches to try hurt his opponent. I wanna see punches thrown in that boxing ring. Defend and look pretty all you like, so long as your trying to cause pain. I may sound sadistic but thats how I see boxing...its a sport stem from violence that makes it unique from all the other sports, football, soccer, basketball...those are the sports you can talk sweet gameplay about.

 

We need to build a solid range here. Coma inducing to bona fide boxing excellence.

This is prize fighting. It's not about who looked the best but putting on a show where people are willing to shell out more money for your future fight.

I find it funny blow heart on this message board claims your not a fan if you don't appreciate so and so . I spent the 50 bucks to be entertain. If I wanted to watch pure boxing I can watch it for free in the amateur.

sweet science is mixing it up while looking good(dodging punches in a close distance, throwing counterpunches perfectly, and definitely not potshotting and running around the ring (clowning around)

 

No......I mean who actually enjoyed Valuev vs Holy ? Holy never showed great ring generalship, because he didn't need to because his opponent was so poor. It was very low contact fight with hardly any skill to admire.

I know many people will disagree, but i did not find Mayweather vs Corrales exciting. I thought their were too many lulls in the action,it was not competitive at all, and i feel Mayweather should of gotten rid of him sooner. Too much waiting in that fight for me.

I preferred Mayweather's fights with Burton,Castillo 1,Gerena,Manfredy,Gatti etc.
