are all british fans delusional or just 20,000 of them?

How the hell Haye vs Harrison was good for boxing? The fight was only shown on sky sports ppv but yet it's good for boxing? Haye fought a bum Harrison who's never beaten a good fighter in his career but yet it's good for boxing? Haye vs Harrison is a joke. I bet Briggs right now would ko Harrison.

Most of the people posting on a site like this are boxing diehards who view the sport very differently than do casual fans or its participants.

You're right, this "fight" was always an EVENT, rather than a real boxing match. And any avid follower of boxing who thought otherwise was buying into the hype. Fraudley's a good con man, but if you anything about his career, if you thought he had a snowball's chance of winning this fight, you were kidding yourself.

Fraudly fought scared and backpeddled against mediocrities like Domenic Guinn. And he was all of a sudden going to acquire a backbone and go hard after David Haye? Come on. This "fight" went EXACTLY how I thought it would.

He would, and so would Sosnowski, Chisora, Chambers, and Peter.

david haye did not get offered a 50-50 split.Thats all he needs to get the fight on.Klitschco would still make more in that fight than 4 fights fighting them bums that are on the heavyweight scene

it was a good nght of boxing. i was one of the 20,000 and i think many agree with me that there were some quality fights. the groves fight stole the show IMO. but even the card fillers were good tear ups.

yes the main event didnt live upto its hype, but if the worst fight on the card is one that is only a 3 round knockout, then i'd say you've got your moneys worth.

The only credit i can give audley is for maing people believe he had a chance. he was far too immobile. he reminded me a lot of briggs vs vitali, but only hayes shots were too powerful for him to last the distance.

The fight has proved something tho. that him, vitali and wlad are all doing a merry dance here, fghting undeserving challengers and getting rich. financially, all 3 can continue like this until retirement, low risk medium reward fights. but from a legacy viewpoint all 3 need each other. vitali's legacy has not benefited from the briggs fight. haye's hasnt benefited from the audley victory, and wlads sure as **** won't benefit from the chisora victory.

I do have faith the fight will happen. vitali and haye have nowhere else to go, they must fight each other. wlad still has a long time left so has a chance to secure his legacy with longevity.

It was fixed because Audley threw no punches???

His whole career has been like that! He's terrible to watch, no surprises with the outcome of this fight. Unbelievable that this joke of a fight was on PPV in the UK whilst Pacquiao vs Margarito was free to air! Haye should be embarrassed for taking the fight.

being a newb I can understand you missed all the threads about this, but Haye got offered a 50/50 no option contract by Wlad. Booth confirmed that, but Haye wanted more... 100% of the British PPV!

So knowledgeable British boxing fans bought their tickets to watch this match and on PPV knowing Audley Harrison would be scared to throw a punch?

Okay...you guys have an odd boxing fanbase on what you'll pay money to see. Meanwhile, I saw Pacquiao-Margarito for $10.

The fight was not fixed, Harrison fought exactly as he always does. it was a mismatch

but i think wlad, chinsora will play out in the same embarassing way.

in that case i apologise, 50-50 down the middle on all monies made seems fair.David cant command 100% for british ppv.

that is the only part of your post that matters. it was an all british title fight. we are boxng fans. of course we are going to watch it. we don't expect the victory to make haye rank any higher, but it was a huge domestic fight. first one since bruno v lewis
