Are you German? That would be a rich comment coming from a German.

In the long run, how are fights like this supposed to be good for "business" as you say, or for the health of boxing in the UK. EVERYONE with any common sense walked away dissapointed after this horrible fiasco.

In case you haven't noticed, the world does not revolve around England and this fight was a local affair. Boxing outside of England could not give a flying **** about this fight. We laughed before it happened and we laughed even harder when it was over. It was a joke and reflected badly on Haye and on British boxing in general. It made Green vs. Briggs look downright competative.

wow where to begin. did you go to the m.e.n. arena? because if you did you wouldnt have been disappointed. there were some great fights, most notably the groves victory.

noone would have walked away disapponted, unless they turned up at the start of the haye-harrison fight.

and if noone gives a flying fuk why are you getting so passionate about it? if noone cares why is it front and back page news. if noone is bothered why are the klitschko's so desperate to fight haye?

mismatches happen. this last end of the year is a great example. we have had vitali vs briggs, pac vs margo, haye vs harrison and we wll have wlad vs chisora. they dont reflect badly on the victor unless they struggle. whch haye clearly ddnt.

and as for it being bad for british boxing, as you kidding me? it has dominated the english papers and sports channels. it is all people talk about. hell both fighters even featured on soccer a.m. it put boxing in the spotlight. that is something any boxing fan will appreciate.

as for it being uncompetitive, well its true. olympic gold medallist and europena heavyweight champ audley harrison just didnt have the toold to deal with haye's attack. i so desperately hoped he would land his big left but it didnt happen.

I was kinda hoping it was contained to 20k but it looks like it runs much deeper than that. Are you seriously defending that farce of a fight?

The amazing thing is Haye even told the boxing public that Harrison was a joke.

    Haye's own words went unheeded.

ok i will make this simple for you.

    i live in manchester

haye vs harrison is the first all english hw title fight since bruno vs lewis

    the fight was in manchester

    i am a boxing fan

    it was a boxing match

    guaranteed knockout.

look at the above points, why the hell wouldnt i go to see it? a title fight on my doorstep, damn right i'll watch it. otherwise what is the point of being a fan of the sport?

i know it dont make haye rank any higher, but obviously i will watch the fight. im pretty sure wlad vs chisora will sell out wherever it is staged, doesnt make the people paying idiots.
