Well, at least this thread is good for something, then.

Calzaghe vs Hopkins was supposed to be a big event. It was turned into a joke. We can assume Ward within short will do the same thing with the final of S6. No big deal?

What does this have to do with you initial post???

You try to give excuses for the dirty tactics on AA and Froch but you try your best exploit the Americans...My point is that both have committed some acts of dirty fighting at some point and time...You just nitpick at like its only Americans. Thats my point.

You dont know that these guys actually imported this tactic in their training.:-(

why does europe constantly want to compare themselves to america? its like little brother always wanting to let everyone know how he can do things better than big brother. get over it already, 99.9% of americans dont give a rats ass about what complex little brother might be suffering from. i know it's not every european but way too many posters have a hard on for america and most of us just dont give a ****.
bottom line is, america is where you go to be the best and you get with the program or wait till europe becomes the boxing capital of the world and you can better deal with the inferiority complex.
Whats next? european boxers speak more languages, thay got prettier wives, shinier trunks, better haircuts?

My initial post is supposed to be a question, rather then a statement. I was curious to know if there is an accepting attitude towards fouling among american trainers and boxers, and wanted to get some input on the issue. This due to some american top boxers fouling repetadly in a a way that has few comparasions.

The only respons I have gotten so far is "Well, you know, there are some Euros playing it dirty as well." This is of course true.

What AA did was more unproffesional than anything Ward has done in his whole career. It cant be excused and he deserved the DQ. All I say is that I dont think it was planned for when he stepped into the ring.

I feel it is safe to say that Hopkins and Ward relies on holding to break their opponents rythm. There is no other conclusion to come to, if you watch their fights. And Hopkins started up his "I have been hurt by a low blow"-pantomine no less than three times during his fight against Calzaghe. Do you doubt he had planned it in advance?
