It's like that across most professional sports in terms of criticism... It seems worse in boxing because human's health and livelihood is literally on the line in every competition.

True. I can't think of a single successful fighter who hasn't been called a hype job and a fraud on ESB. It's pathetic. Both Klitschkos, Floyd, Pacquaio, Donaire, Gamboa, Martinez, Ward, Bute, Cotto, Calzaghe, Kessler, RJJ....and on and on. Imbeciles.

I gotta agree here...Some fans are just dense and full of ****!

It really erks me on how some fat, sloppy geek can sit his fraud ass at home and try to belittle a pro fighter...I really hate that ****.

Prime example, the stupid Glass jaw experts! A bunch of sad people!:-(

It gets out of hand, we got to respect every fighter that goes into that ring. You know it bad when they threads say " Holmes, Ali, Frazier etc career was smoke and mirrors" and then get give some ****ed up reasons. Bottom line is any top 10 fighter in any era in any weight class would **** up every single member on this forum, show some respect. Even if you don't like that particular fighter. Like for me I don't care for froch, never have and most likely never will but I respect the hell out of him.

What the **** is with these hero-worshiping fanboys? WAAAAAHHH WAAAAHHHH! You insulted my hero!!!:patsch

    What DRIVEL.

A discerning, critical fan ALWAYS calls 'em as he sees them, rather than blindly adoring athletes like they are some sort of supermen. Sorry folks, but some fighters do have limited talent, glass jaws, are overrated, etc. etc. And the discerning fan is always gonna call it as they see it, as well they should!

So it's better to blindly hero worship fighters rather than actively criticize them? Boxing fans have always been the realest and "bum, Glass Jaw, etc" have been terms in the Boxing lexicon since the earliest days of the sport. It is not going to change so you can either not talk to other Boxing fans or **** of to a more congenial sport like tiddlywinks, nuthugger.

Todays fan is without a doubt .. I mean what do you expect from the google generation ..Everybody is a tough guy behind a keyboard ..Yeah we help pay there salaries but most fans do it for every sport ..Maybe if these so calld fan boys and critics actually acomplished something in sports they would not be so critical of such athletes .. I mean I don't hear half the disrespect for MMA fighters that current fans give former legends of boxing ..Its a dam shame ..This is why the sport suffers ..This is why mediocre fighters get praised like legends one minute and then turned on the minute they lose ..There is no real loyalty amongst boxing fans today !
