Are boxing matches scored differently in different countries

    Are boxing match scored differently in Mexico, the US and Europe? If so, how?

    Yeah. In Germany the home fighter wins the round.

    Boxing matches are scored on clean punching, defense, ring generalship, and effective aggression.

    I would assume in a country like Mexico aggression and clean punching would put you in a favorable position with the judges.

    Was just a joke mate. Could have said any country.

    Truth is its not the country that 'influences' a fight, it's the promoter. The promoters just tend to be promoting the home fighter. Robberies happen everywhere.

    American judges are always blatantly biased towards their fighters.

    lol american judges score ineffective aggression though i remember in the first williams martinez bout harold lederman said you cant score a fight for the guy going backwards :patsch

    Yet your idol Haye "won" a title there by judges decision. Meanwhile in the U.K. the hometown fighter Anthony Joshua gets gifted a gold medal

    Isn't the scoring slightly different in Argentina? seen score cards with 79-71½ for example? whats the deal with the halves?
