Do we have 'bent' referees? John Macdermot, Ian Napa, Anthony Small all had strange point calculations go against them ..We have only a handful of so called "top refs" but the bad/wide decisions are getting more frequent and more bizarre. Could we do with a new wave of refs, as the Dave Parrish's and Richie Davis' are getting old in my view. Errol Chin
Yeah, Parris and Davies are getting long in the tooth now. Just like Terry O'Conner, who I wouldn't trust to make me a cup of tea.
the napa one was shocking and was it dave parris who reffed barrera khan? hate him that night and hate the scores he comes up with its like he only watches the end of the fight and looks at how they look at the end
ye he wasnt winning but he wasnt hurt groves kept on hittin him behind his ear and thats why he kept going off balance
that was a nonsense stoppage and I have seen those kind of stoppages here time and time again! It begs the question that needs answering, should a fighter be stopped because he isn't competative enough and looks like he will lose anyway, or do does the man need to be hurt and beat up for the ref to intervene. Because at the moment its more or a case of stopping the guy just because he's getting beat, BUT that doesn't mean to say there will not be a shift in momentum! You need to give it a chance! I mean if the guy isn't physically beaten to the point of injury or collapse, but just getting beat and out of ideas but is still defending himself, I think you have to give him the benefit of the doubt to see how it will play out. I am getting sick of these soft stoppages here. I mean it's a title fight! and the other guy wasn't in serious danger. Seems to be acceptable now to simply stop the man cos he's getting outclassed! WHAT THE HELL!!
another example there in the last fight it was stopped because he was being beaten lynes is a british fighter clearly choking and parris gives him a ten count instead of stoppin it
